Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
- Appropriate state licensure for practice as an SLP, or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations is highly valued
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Proficiency with assessment tools and progress reporting
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, communication, or swallowing disorders in students
- Develop personalized therapy plans targeting identified areas of need
- Provide direct therapeutic services to students individually and in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to maximize student outcomes
- Monitor, document, and report student progress toward IEP goals
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and provide expertise for goal setting
- Offer guidance on strategies that foster communication in the classroom and at home
