Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state license (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations, ideally in a school setting
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with each child’s needs and IEP goals
- Deliver therapy services individually and in small groups, adapting interventions to engage young learners
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate and thorough records
- Consult with teachers, parents, and education staff to support generalization of therapy strategies across settings
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal development, and provide professional recommendations
- Stay current on best practices, actively seeking opportunities for professional development
