What we’re looking for:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Previous experience working with children at the elementary level preferred
- Strong understanding of school-based speech therapy practices
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate, patient, and collaborative approach to therapy
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide targeted speech-language therapy for elementary school students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Track progress, maintain accurate records, and report on student outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to support students’ communication needs in the classroom
- Participate in meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary team discussions
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates and recommendations
