This unique contract role requires a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC), ideally bilingual in Spanish and English, to deliver compassionate, one-on-one care. Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English strongly preferred (non-bilingual SLPs also encouraged to apply)
- Experience working with medically complex or bed-bound students is a plus
- Strong commitment to consistency and relationship-building with students and families
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including OT and PT providers
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to a bed-bound middle school student, on-site (virtual sessions not possible)
- Communicate effectively with non-English speaking parents, or work alongside a language interpreter if needed
- Maintain and update progress notes and treatment plans in coordination with other providers
- Adapt therapy techniques for home-based, medically fragile environments
- Demonstrate flexibility as student needs and scheduling evolve over time
