Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current SLP licensure in New York
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience working with pediatric and medically fragile populations strongly desired
  • Familiarity with school-based services and individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to partner with families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver four 30-minute in-home therapy sessions per week
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans to address the student’s language and communication needs
  • Maintain detailed session notes and progress records, supporting academic and medical team collaboration
  • Adjust strategies to meet unique needs of a medically fragile student, prioritizing safety and well-being
  • Serve as a support resource for the family, offering guidance and practical communication strategies
