Speech Language Pathologist in Hagerstown, MD
Bring your passion for supporting student communication skills to a contract opportunity near Hagerstown, MD! Two skilled professionals are needed to provide speech-language services in a dynamic school setting. One position begins August 17th and continues through June 9th, while the second role starts September 15th and is expected to continue through January 31st, with the possibility of extension.
Work an 8-hour day, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility for a 4-day week if needed. You’ll carry a manageable caseload of approximately 50 students, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on each child’s progress.
Required experience & qualifications:
- Active license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP preferred)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting highly desired
- Will also consider experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- High degree of adaptability and resourcefulness to meet students’ unique needs
- Ability to organize and manage a diverse caseload efficiently
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and provide direct therapy
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals in developing student support strategies
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress, services provided, and required compliance reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based decision-making
- Deliver creative, engaging sessions that foster students’ communication growth
