In this role, you'll work with a dedicated caseload of 50–60 students, developing and delivering individualized care plans while collaborating closely with teachers and staff. The onsite-only setting allows for immersive engagement and plenty of professional growth opportunities. This position welcomes Clinical Fellows (CF), SLPAs, and experienced SLPs with CCCs.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Active SLP license in Louisiana
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but new graduates and SLPAs are also encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is advantageous
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management abilities
- Commitment to fostering positive outcomes for diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to optimize student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and case files in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Offer support and guidance to students, caregivers, and educational teams
