Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain before the start date
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to student success
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficient in assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapy for a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and screenings to identify students in need of speech and language services
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and support team members
- Provide targeted therapy sessions in both group and individual formats
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP and team meetings, offering professional insights for the development of effective strategies
- Educate staff and families on communication strategies and supports to reinforce learning outside of therapy sessions
