School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Front Royal, Virginia

Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication skills in a dynamic school environment. This onsite contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to begin as soon as possible and continue through late May 2027. Working full-time, you’ll have the chance to collaborate closely with educators, families, and other therapists near the heart of the Shenandoah Valley.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold an active Virginia SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience (preferred) providing speech therapy services in K-12 school settings
- Ability to evaluate and treat a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to engaging students in their progress
- Flexible, organized, and passionate about fostering student success
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct assessment, intervention, and therapy services to students onsite
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support student needs
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress notes, and compliance documentation
- Participate actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities
- Ensure services align with state and district guidelines
