This contract role is perfect for professionals who possess their Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) and are experienced in supporting students’ speech and language development. You’ll work onsite in a vibrant educational setting, collaborating with teachers and staff to achieve student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia SLP license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience working in school settings strongly preferred
- Ability to work onsite (remote/virtual options not available)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Organized, proactive, and adaptable to a dynamic educational environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy to students, including assessment, diagnosis, and individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student IEP goals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress reports, and evaluations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
- Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality speech-language services
- Offer support and resources to classroom teachers for integrating speech-language strategies
This opportunity allows you to build strong relationships with students and educators while working a full-time, consistent Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours each week. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through May 28th, 2027.
