This full-time contract role runs from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering a chance to support students across elementary, middle, and high school settings located about 45 minutes south of DC.

You’ll work on-site (no teletherapy or hybrid options), collaborating with educational teams to help children and adolescents build their communication skills. Assignments are available across a range of age groups, so you’ll have the opportunity to tailor your expertise and make a meaningful impact throughout the school year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia SLP licensure is required
  • Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches across diverse student populations and age groups
  • Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring
  • Detail-oriented with strong collaboration and organizational skills
  • Must obtain a VA Department of Social Services background check promptly
  • TB test required per state regulations

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group speech-language pathology services to students as outlined in educational plans
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment goals tailored to each child’s needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
  • Liaise with educators, families, and support staff to foster an integrated service approach
  • Serve students at one or more sites as assigned within the district
