Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Fontana, CA
Step into a dynamic opportunity supporting students across multiple schools near Fontana, CA as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the upcoming school year. These itinerant roles offer the chance to positively impact children in a variety of settings, with a full-time schedule (7:30 am – 4:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch) and assignment to several school sites.
This position is suited to credentialed SLP professionals (CCC required) with a strong background in pediatric and school-based practices. Experience delivering services via teletherapy and in-person is highly valued. Please note, this opportunity is not open to candidates currently in their Clinical Fellowship year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP license (CCC required)
- Background in schools, pediatrics, and healthcare-based speech therapy
- Experience with IEP documentation and familiarity with digital IEP systems (training provided as needed)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working within multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload efficiently and adapt services across multiple campuses
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect SLP services, including assessments, therapy, and progress monitoring
- Participate in team meetings; admin and indirect hours are included
- Develop and maintain IEPs, ensuring compliance and student-focused support
- Utilize a caseload approach, guided by district caps and best practices
- Support district initiatives and engage in ongoing training opportunities
