School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Fontana, California
Exciting opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist to support elementary students in a vibrant learning environment. This full-time position is open immediately and extends through July 20, with a strong possibility of renewal for the following academic year. You'll work hands-on with a dedicated team, serving children enrolled in an auditory oral Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) program and an Autism program, making a meaningful impact every day.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology licensure or eligibility (CCC-SLP or CFY considered)
- Experience or genuine interest in working within elementary school settings
- Background in auditory oral DHH and/or Autism programming is highly desirable
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and inclusive education
- Flexibility and adaptability to evolving caseload needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide speech/language therapy to students, focusing on both individual and group needs
- Participate in the development and implementation of IEPs, collaborating closely with educators, families, and support staff
- Document interventions, maintain compliance, and contribute to student progress reports
- Support the communication needs of students in both the DHH and Autism classrooms
- Offer consultation and resources to school personnel as needed
- Take part in trainings or meetings to advance program goals and student outcomes
