Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Floyds Knobs, IN
Make a meaningful impact on students’ lives as a full-time, in-person Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive school environment near Floyds Knobs, IN. This contract position covers a maternity leave from December through March, offering the opportunity to work directly with students and collaborate with dedicated educational professionals. With a schedule of 35 hours per week, you’ll play a key role in supporting students’ communication and academic success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Indiana Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- DOE certification is required
- SLP-CCC credentials considered a plus
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong skills in evaluation, assessment, and intervention for students with diverse speech and language needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to K-12 students with speech and language challenges
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and document progress
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to student plans
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster student growth
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
