As a vital member of the educational team, you’ll assess students, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate closely with teachers and families to foster communication skills and confidence. What you’ll need to succeed:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) in Michigan as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFs encouraged to apply
- Prior experience working in school settings is advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to independently manage a varied caseload
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement targeted intervention plans
- Manage and deliver direct therapy in individual and group settings
- Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Consult with staff on best practices and strategies for students with communication needs
