School Speech Language Pathologist - Elk River, Minnesota
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services for a diverse student population. This dynamic assignment spans the academic calendar, from late August through early June, offering full-time hours each week. Your expertise will support an elementary caseload, with some opportunities to work with secondary students as well. You’ll collaborate with school staff to provide evaluations, direct therapy, and participate in team meetings, helping students achieve their communication goals.
What you’ll bring:
- Active Minnesota SLP license (Please submit proof of licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Comfortable managing a caseload of 40-50 students
- Strong skills in assessment, therapy planning, and progress documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to onsite, in-person services throughout the contract duration
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech and language therapy to elementary and select secondary students
- Conducting formal and informal evaluations
- Developing and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Attending and actively contributing to IEP/eligibility meetings
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student progress
- Documenting services, maintaining organized records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines
