Speech Language Pathologist in Elk River, MN
Step into a rewarding, school-based Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity in the Elk River, MN area! This contract role seeks multiple dedicated SLPs—fully credentialed SLP-CCC and Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply—to provide essential services to students for the 2026-2027 academic year. Positions are onsite, part-time, and offer a diverse caseload across four local schools with varying FTE allocations. The contract period runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, perfectly aligning with the school calendar.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Must hold current Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
- Dual certification as required by local standards
- SLP-CCC and Clinical Fellows (CF) both encouraged to apply
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred, though not mandatory for CFs
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches for students in elementary and middle school environments
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to delivering personalized, evidence-based interventions
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to assigned student caseloads across Northdale Middle School, Hamilton Elementary, Mississippi Elementary, and Rum River schools
- Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and document student progress
- Serve as a collaborative team member alongside educators, paraprofessionals, and families
- Participate actively in staff meetings, interdisciplinary conferences, and professional development opportunities
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations as well as district policies
