This role calls for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) ready to make an impact within an engaging educational environment near Elgin, IL. You'll manage a manageable caseload of around 15 students, focusing on individualized and group interventions.
This contract position runs from June 8th through July 2nd, offering a schedule that balances professional contribution with personal time. On June 8th, you'll work from 8am to 2pm, and from June 9th to July 2nd, the hours shift to 8am to 12:15pm, allowing your afternoons to remain free.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of Illinois
- Previous experience as an SLP in school settings preferred
- Strong ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Familiarity with IEP development and participation in IEP meetings
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educators
- Passion for promoting student success and fostering a supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to a caseload of approximately 15 students
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and adapt therapy plans as needed
- Attend to all necessary administrative responsibilities such as session notes and report writing
- Collaborate closely with teachers and other school staff to support integrated educational strategies
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of student IEPs
