School-Based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Position in Albertville, Alabama
Location: Albertville, Alabama
Assignment Dates: Beginning July 13, 2026; end date to be confirmed
Schedule: Full-time, school-based schedule
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, intervention, and related speech-language services to K–12 students within Albertville, Alabama. This is a full-time opportunity supporting students in a school-based environment.
The selected clinician’s school placement and responsibilities will be determined based on district needs, professional experience, and overall fit.
Caseload Information
- K–12 student population
- Caseload size is currently being determined
- School assignments and student needs will be discussed during the interview process
- Caseloads may include students with a variety of communication needs
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field
- Current Alabama Speech-Language Pathology license
- Appropriate Alabama school-based certification or credentialing, as required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred
Responsibilities
- Complete speech and language evaluations, screenings, and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services
- Monitor student progress and adjust services as appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
- Participate in IEP, eligibility, and student-support meetings
- Follow federal, state, and district special education requirements
Screening & Credentialing Requirements
- Successful completion of district onboarding and credentialing requirements
- Background check and fingerprint clearance, as required
- Verification of active professional licensure and certifications
- Internal eligibility interview
