Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Attalla, Alabama

Desired skills and qualifications:
- Valid SLP licensure in Alabama
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), or eligibility
- Previous experience in school-based SLP or pediatric settings preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare SLP practices as they apply to educational environments
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to deliver evidence-based interventions for a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
Key responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech and language needs, focusing on those in grades 5 through 12
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings as required
- Provide consultative support to teachers to aid in the integration of communication goals within the general curriculum
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a positive, supportive school culture
