Ideal Candidates Will Possess:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license (Illinois)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- Experience or training in school-based speech-language services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload with organizational and documentation strengths
- Adaptability, empathy, and a collaborative approach
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assessing and diagnosing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in K-12 students
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Providing direct therapy services and support within school settings
- Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and federal mandates
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and allied professionals to foster student growth
- Participating in IEP team meetings and professional development sessions
