School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Easton, Maryland
An exciting opportunity awaits Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about making a difference in young learners’ lives. A local PreK-2 school near Easton, MD (with a specific assignment in Centreville and the surrounding areas) seeks a skilled SLP to join their team on a contract basis, covering from October 1 through December 23. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Maryland State SLP License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience in school-based SLP services, ideally with younger populations
- Ability to manage a caseload of around 50 PreK-2 students
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for new and existing students in PreK-2
- Deliver direct therapy services aligned with IEP goals
- Provide case management for a diverse caseload, ensuring all documentation and deadlines are met
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and parents to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and school-based multidisciplinary teams
- Support the generalization of communication goals within the educational setting
This contract position is Monday through Friday, with a daily schedule of seven work hours plus a half-hour unpaid lunch. You will have the opportunity to build strong connections with students, contribute to multidisciplinary teams, and develop your clinical and professional skills in a supportive school community.
