School Speech Language Pathologist - Easton, Maryland
Step into a vital role making a difference for elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving PreK-5th grade learners full-time! This contract assignment covers the academic year beginning in late August and continuing through June. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, evidence-based speech therapy services on-site, though virtual opportunities will be considered. Deliver approximately 60 direct service hours per month and support a positive, growth-focused learning environment.
Preferred candidates bring experience in Maryland schools and hold an active SLP-CCC license for the state. You’ll collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to help students reach their communication goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP-CCC license for the state of Maryland
- Previous experience in a school-based setting within Maryland preferred
- Comfort and proficiency working with elementary age students (PreK–5th)
- Strong interpersonal, documentation, and organizational skills
- Skilled in speech/language assessment, direct therapy, and IEP contributions
- Flexibility to deliver services on-site or via teletherapy as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions tailored to student needs
- Complete assessments, maintain accurate records, and track progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborate with school teams, and communicate with families
- Foster a supportive atmosphere for student communication development
