This dynamic role extends through the full 2026-2027 school year and into the summer, supporting a special needs population with a variety of communication challenges, including autism, emotional disabilities, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, as well as other health impairments.
This engaging position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule. During the school year, you’ll work from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; summer and June hours adjust to 7:45 AM to 2:15 PM, ensuring work-life balance while still providing valuable services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current, valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience working with children and adolescents with special needs preferred
- Skilled in conducting evaluations, detailed assessments, observations, and comprehensive reporting
- Strong understanding of developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
- Write thorough reports and recommendations based on observations and evaluations
- Deliver targeted, evidence-based therapy to support students’ educational and communication goals
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor and document progress, updating goals and strategies as needed
- Support ongoing education planning for students with a range of unique challenges
