This contract role offers the opportunity to work onsite with a PreK population, supporting children ages 3-5 across two schools. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team and participate in play-based evaluations, gaining hands-on experience that directly supports early childhood development. The assignment is scheduled to begin in early October and runs through March, offering a consistent weekly schedule of 32.5 hours.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois SLP license required
  • Professional Educator’s License (PEL) issued by the state of Illinois
  • Experience with transdisciplinary play-based assessments strongly preferred
  • Previous work with preschool or early childhood caseloads valued
  • Strong collaboration skills for team-based evaluations
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to PreK students in four classrooms
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Engage in transdisciplinary, play-based evaluations alongside classroom teams
  • Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families to foster a supportive learning environment
