Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Cicero, IL
Embark on a dynamic opportunity to work with young learners as a speech-language pathologist in a contract, onsite position based near Cicero, IL. This engaging role involves supporting PreK children, ages 3-5, across two school sites, making every day varied and impactful. Key Qualifications:
- Active IL SLP License required
- Public Educator License (PEL) as mandated by the state for school-based clinicians
- Experience with team-based evaluations, including Transdisciplinary Play Based Assessment (TPBA), is highly desirable
- Previous work with early childhood populations (ages 3-5) strongly preferred
- Strong collaboration skills to engage with teachers and families
- Commitment to providing in-person therapeutic services
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to preschool children, tailoring therapy to individual needs
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to conduct evaluations and participate in team-based assessments
- Serve both assigned school sites, overseeing four classrooms of PreK students
- Complete and document all required progress reports, evaluations, and IEP meetings
- Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and other professionals to support holistic development
