School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Des Plaines, Illinois

Desired experience and qualifications:
- Holds or is eligible for SLP license (Clinical Certificate of Competence—CCC, or Clinical Fellowship Year—CFY)
- Previous experience in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged children
- Strong assessment and intervention abilities in treating speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborative, adaptable, and ready to coordinate with teachers, families, and administrators
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Current knowledge of IEP requirements and best practices
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in individual and small group settings
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP development
- Communicate student progress effectively with staff and families
- Document interventions and student outcomes according to school policies
- Support a positive and inclusive educational atmosphere
