If you're passionate about making a difference in early childhood education, an exciting opportunity awaits working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an intensive preschool classroom. This contract position is based in a thriving elementary school in Thornton, CO, offering a chance to provide specialized support to PreK students, many of whom are non-verbal or present complex communication needs.

Professionals with either the Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (SLP-CF) are welcome, provided you hold an active Colorado SLP license. Here, you’ll have the singular focus of serving one dedicated campus, helping young learners develop foundational communication skills that will set them up for lifelong success.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current, active Colorado Speech-Language Pathologist license required
  • SLP-CCC or SLP-CF credentials considered
  • Experience with preschool-aged children, especially in intensive or special needs settings, preferred
  • Familiarity with augmentative/alternative communication and non-verbal student supports is valuable
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Prepared to complete time-sensitive district onboarding prior to start date

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted speech and language therapy for PreK students in an intensive setting
  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized communication plans
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and parents
  • Evaluate student progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Maintain thorough and compliant records of sessions and outcomes
