Speech Language Pathologist in Aurora, CO
Step into a pivotal role supporting young learners and their communication needs in a dynamic elementary school preschool classroom. This contract assignment is an on-site position, providing services within a single campus, working closely with an Intensive PreK caseload. You will work with both verbal and non-verbal children, contributing to their communication development and supporting their early educational journey.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Colorado SLP license (required)
- Open to candidates with SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow (CF) status
- Previous experience working with preschool or PreK populations, ideally those with diverse communication abilities, including non-verbal students
- Strong collaboration skills with educators, families, and school staff
- Ability to effectively adapt and individualize interventions for young learners
- Commitment to completing all district-required credentialing documentation prior to assignment start
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to a PreK caseload within an intensive classroom setting
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student IEP goals
- Consult on classroom strategies for language and communication development
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support planning
- Maintain timely documentation as required by school district protocols
