Pediatric School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Sterling Heights, Michigan

You will collaborate closely with early childhood educators, special education teams, and families to deliver targeted support. The role involves conducting new child find evaluations for 3-5 year olds, working hands-on with students in Early Childhood Special Education classes, serving an ASD classroom for Kindergarten and first grade, and providing speech services to K-2 cross-categorical classes.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid SLP licensure/certification for schools (CCC or clinical fellowship year considered)
- Previous experience with pediatric SLP, preferably within elementary school or early childhood settings
- Strong familiarity with ASD, cross-categorical, and early intervention populations
- Teletherapy experience is a plus, as are strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage assessments, evaluations, and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive speech and language assessments for new child find referrals
- Develop individualized treatment plans and interventions for a diverse caseload
- Deliver both direct and consultative speech/language services in-person or via teletherapy
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress and IEP goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
