Pediatric School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Warren, Michigan
Providing speech-language services to young learners requires specialized skills and a passion for early childhood development. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support students aged 3-7 in an educational setting, focusing on a diverse range of needs.
Responsibilities include conducting new child find evaluations for children ages 3-5, delivering targeted therapy services within Early Childhood Special Education programs, and supporting classrooms for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (K/1) as well as cross-categorical K-2 classes. The role fosters collaboration with educational staff and families to create individualized plans that promote communication growth and success.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience in school-based settings serving early childhood populations
- Background working with pediatric clients and familiarity with teletherapy techniques
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent
- Understanding of Early Childhood Special Education and ASD classroom environments
- Strong communication and documentation skills to support compliance and progress tracking
Location: The position is based in Warren, MI, operating within a school environment.
Work Schedule: Full-time role, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, aligning with school hours.
