About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary special education team for the upcoming school year. In this role, you will work directly with a diverse K-12 student population in the Dearborn area, providing essential diagnostic and therapeutic services to help students overcome communication barriers and thrive academically.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive screenings and evaluations for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
IEP Development: Design, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.
Therapeutic Intervention: Provide high-quality direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, psychologists, and social workers to integrate communication goals into the classroom environment.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely records of student progress and participation in accordance with state and federal regulations (IDEA).
Advocacy: Participate in MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) and Section 504 meetings to support student success.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an ASHA-accredited program.
Licensure: Active (or eligible for) Michigan State SLP License through LARA.
Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply and will receive supervision.
Skills: Proficiency with IEP software and digital documentation; strong interpersonal skills for working with a diverse community.
