Travel School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Melvindale, Michigan
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available in a travel assignment based in Melvindale, MI, serving students ages 3-7. This role focuses on early childhood intervention and special education support, including work with a diverse group of young learners across several classroom settings.
Primary responsibilities include conducting new child find evaluations for children ages 3-5 and providing targeted therapy services to Early Childhood Special Education classes, an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom for kindergarten and first grade, and cross-categorical classes for kindergarten through second grade. The position supports the development of language, communication, and social skills for a varied caseload.
Key qualifications and experience sought:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations in schools or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with teletherapy practices is beneficial
- Ability to manage caseloads involving Early Childhood Special Education and ASD students
- Completion or active status of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is acceptable
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with classroom teams and families
This position offers a consistent school day schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the opportunity for contract renewal into the 2026-2027 school year.
