Step into a dynamic role providing speech-language services one day per week within a specialized Behavior Program. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with K-12 students of diverse abilities, supporting their communication goals and growth. This position is based onsite in Yamhill County at a dedicated education center near Dallas, OR.
Ideal candidates possess the skills and dedication needed to engage with students in a supportive, collaborative setting. You’ll contribute to a multi-disciplinary team, playing a key part in each student’s academic and personal development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active or eligible SLP licensure for the state of Oregon
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working in school settings, with K-12 populations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Comfort supporting students participating in behavior programs
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments, intervention, and therapy to K-12 students within the Behavior Program
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to support student goals
- Consult and participate in team meetings, offering expertise to best serve students’ needs
- Adapt therapy approaches for a range of student abilities and behavioral needs
