Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with K-12 populations and diverse abilities preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies within special education settings
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques for students with behavioral challenges
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-12 students in a Behavioral Program environment
- Assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educational teams, including teachers and support staff, to address student needs
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt interventions to support a positive learning environment and promote communication development
- Offer insights and support to families and caregivers as appropriate
