Necessary skills and qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellow (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in a school setting is an asset, but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and adapt therapy to meet varied needs
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations for students with communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the educational team
- Provide both group and one-on-one therapy sessions tailored to student needs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, therapy notes, and required documentation
- Consult regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student support
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as appropriate
- Foster an inclusive, positive environment where every student can thrive
