School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Providence, Rhode Island

Key Qualifications:
- Hold or be eligible for a RIDE PK-12 Speech-Language Pathology license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Proven experience in school-based SLP settings, serving students across PK–12
- Adaptable to fluctuating caseloads and changing day-to-day priorities
- Skilled in assessment, direct intervention, and use of AAC and assistive tech
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff and guide families
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students (approx. 60 per caseload; occasional variance in numbers)
- Conduct thorough evaluations and prepare assessment reports
- Set up, troubleshoot, and manage AAC or assistive devices for students as needed
- Maintain timely and comprehensive documentation (IEPs, progress notes, etc.)
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to develop and modify learning strategies for individual student needs
- Communicate regularly with families to advise on progress, strategies, and support
