Key Qualifications:
- Possess or be eligible for a RIDE PK-12 SLP license
- Hold SLP - CCC credentials
- Skilled in providing school-based speech-language services (PK–12)
- Adaptable to various caseloads and comfortable with fluctuating student numbers due to current staffing needs
- Experience with or openness to working in Early Childhood/Preschool, Standard PK–12, or Bilingual student settings
- Able to thrive in a multicultural environment — approximately 55% of students come from multilingual homes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy and preventive services to a caseload of around 60 students (with potential peaks depending on school assignment)
- Conduct thorough speech-language assessments and interpret results
- Collaborate with teachers and families to develop and implement strategies that support student success
- Set up, manage, and utilize AAC/assistive technology devices to maximize student engagement and communication
- Complete required documentation and participate fully in IEP and interdisciplinary meetings
