Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid Oregon speech-language pathologist license and/or Oregon teaching license with the appropriate endorsement
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-Speech) preferred
- Several years' experience as a school-based SLP, including work with moderate and severe disabilities
- Strong knowledge of both low and high-tech augmentative communication systems
- Valid Oregon driver’s license
- Effective communication skills for interaction with students, parents, and staff
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
- Current First Aid/CPR card may be required
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and direct intervention for assigned students
- Collaborate with special education team members, teachers, and families to implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Develop and execute strategies to improve communication skills and support student success
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in district meetings and professional development activities as scheduled
