Step into a rewarding school-based Speech-Language Pathologist role with a contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a leave replacement. Starting January 4th and running through the end of March (potentially longer), this position allows you to make a significant difference in a supportive educational setting.
You'll work at a single site with a manageable caseload of 55 students, comprised of a combination of speech-only and resource students. Standard hours are from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, totaling 35 hours per week, ensuring both structure and work-life balance.
Ideal Background:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable collaborating with elementary-aged students with varied speech and language needs
- Strong skills in assessment, documentation, and communication
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students on your caseload
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP requirements
- Conduct assessments and ongoing progress monitoring
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other support staff to optimize student outcomes
- Document services and student progress in alignment with district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based decision making
