Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Columbia, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping students achieve their communication goals and succeed academically through evidence-based speech and language interventions.

This is a full-time position serving school-aged students in a collaborative educational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs and IEP goals.
  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing (if applicable).
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements.

Qualifications Required

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current South Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Please Note

Applicants must possess their ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Clinical Fellows are not eligible for this position.
