Speech Language Pathologist in Coachella, CA
Step into a dynamic educational environment supporting students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. In this contract role, you'll make a real difference as you partner closely with staff, families, and diverse student populations. The district places a strong emphasis on in-person service and is seeking candidates committed to completing more than one full academic year.
Your primary assignment will center on PreK students, though the position may be itinerant, involving service across multiple sites. While previous experience in school settings, California Medicaid (Paradigm), and familiarity with SEIS is valued, committed Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply and will receive guidance and support. Bilingual Spanish language skills are highly desired, although applications from monolingual practitioners are encouraged.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CF)
- Valid Certificate of Clearance (COC) for California public schools
- Experience working in educational settings; knowledge of SEIS and CA Medicaid (Paradigm) is preferred
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
- Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a significant plus
- Familiarity with a range of mild to moderate, as well as some severe, student needs, including AAC device implementation
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, primarily in PreK, across one or more school sites
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
This is an onsite, full-time, full-school-year role with the possibility of becoming itinerant. Your expertise will reach learners at a formative stage—positively impacting communication, confidence, and lifelong achievement.
