School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Coachella, California

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity working with a diverse student population in California’s Coachella Valley region. This role offers a chance to make a significant difference as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students, particularly at the PreK level, for the full 2026-2027 school year. Onsite service is required, and candidates should be open to the possibility of an itinerant schedule across school sites. Both seasoned SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome—bilingual Spanish skills are a major plus, though monolingual applicants will also be considered.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellow (CF) status
- Current Certificate of Clearance (COC)
- Experience in school settings or with SEIS documentation preferred
- Previous experience with California Medicaid (Paradigm) documentation desired
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Bilingual Spanish preferred, open to monolingual candidates
- Willingness to commit to a full school year or more
- Comfort working with students with mild to moderate (and some severe) needs, including AAC devices
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to PreK and potentially other grade-level students
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and contribute to IEP planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support effective communication with families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including SEIS and Medicaid (Paradigm) requirements
- Travel between assigned school sites as needed (itinerant role)
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
