Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Clifton, NJ
Embark on a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact supporting young learners as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist in an engaging educational environment near Clifton, NJ. This contract role involves serving a diverse group of approximately 25 students, primarily preschool-aged (3-8), including children with multiple disabilities, Autism, and preschool-specific needs.
You’ll work school-year and extended school-year schedules, allowing for meaningful continuity and growth with your caseload. This position begins May 1, 2026, through June 12th with a five-day workweek (9:00 am-3:00 pm). The extended school year program follows June 29th to July 30th, Monday through Thursday (8:30 am-12:30 pm), then resumes with the new school year from September 8th to October 20th with regular school hours.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license or eligibility to be licensed in New Jersey
- CCC-SLP credential strongly preferred; CFY applicants welcome
- Previous experience in pediatric, preschool, and/or school-based settings highly valued
- Experience supporting children with Autism, multiple disabilities, and varied communication needs
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to assigned students
- Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to individual student needs
- Conduct assessments and maintain thorough documentation of student progress
- Consult with teachers and participate in team meetings
- Support communication across diverse student profiles, adapting strategies as needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
