Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or eligible Clinical Fellow (CFY)
  • Prior experience in pediatric, educational, or healthcare SLP preferred
  • Background in articulation and school-based speech therapy
  • Ability to plan individualized and small group therapy sessions
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy for private school and homeschooled students at a designated local elementary site
  • Review student speech goals and tailor lesson plans to address individual needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
  • Adapt scheduling flexibly to accommodate school calendars and student availability
  • Collaborate with families and any relevant school staff to optimize therapy impact

Position Details: This part-time assignment spans early August through early June. Traditionally, sessions are held on eight Wednesdays during the first semester and 8-10 Wednesdays in the second semester, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. There is some flexibility in scheduling to suit both the therapist and students. Caseloads are manageable, averaging about seven students, with services provided individually or in groups of two.
