Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to a part-time opportunity supporting private school students and homeschoolers near Cleburne, TX. This contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact, providing essential speech therapy services in a welcoming elementary school environment. Starting in early August and running through early June, you’ll play a key part in the educational journey for a small group—last year, around seven students, mostly elementary-age, focused primarily on articulation.
Qualified candidates will find a flexible, family-friendly schedule. Services are typically arranged for eight Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the first semester, and 8-10 Wednesdays in the second—though there is room for adjustments as needed. You’ll have the opportunity to work one-on-one or with pairs of students, tailoring your therapy plans to maximize progress.
Key qualifications include:
- Master’s degree and current licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Experience in school-based or pediatric SLP settings preferred
- Strong background in articulation therapy
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse student population, including private and homeschooled learners
- Excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills
Primary responsibilities:
- Review and assess students’ individualized speech goals
- Plan engaging lessons aligned with student objectives
- Deliver direct speech therapy, both individually and in small groups
- Maintain accurate records and detailed progress notes
- Partner collaboratively with parents and school staff to support student outcomes
