School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Cicero, New York
Step into a rewarding contract position supporting the communication needs of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. With multiple openings available, full-time and part-time positions in both Onondaga and Cortland Counties offer flexibility and professional growth.
Positions include two full-time roles within a supportive 12:1:3 program, working with students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and severe multiple disabilities. Additionally, a part-time position is available (3-4 days per week) within an 8:1:1 program, focusing on students requiring behavioral support.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility in New York
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but open to strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) – on-site supervision provided
- Experience or interest in school-based settings, ASD, and students with complex communication needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to supporting students with varying levels of ability
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication difficulties
- Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to student strengths and challenges
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to foster student progress
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to support students with ASD and severe or multiple disabilities
- Document progress and complete necessary reports in compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities
