Current openings include two full-time positions in Onondaga County, working in a 12:1:3 classroom environment, primarily with students on the autism spectrum and those with severe multiple disabilities. Additionally, a part-time role is available in Cortland County, offering flexible 3-4 day schedules and focused on supporting students within 8:1:1 classrooms who require behavioral support.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Hold or be eligible for SLP-CCC credentials (Clinical Fellowship applicants welcome; onsite supervision provided)
- Knowledge of working with ASD, severe multiple disabilities, or behavioral challenges
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Current state licensure or the ability to obtain it before start date
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy and evaluations for a diverse student population
- Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with educational staff
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and services delivered
- Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and behavioral support staff
- Offer support and guidance to families, contributing to students’ overall educational success
