Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Cicero, IL
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting PreK students ages 3-5 across two welcoming programs. This temporary assignment, covering a maternity leave from early to mid-October through March, offers a chance to make a meaningful impact while working alongside a collaborative team of professionals. The position is full-time and divided between two schools, with all services focused on preschool students; you’ll serve four vibrant classrooms and participate in team-based evaluations.
Ideal candidates bring strong communication skills, a passion for early childhood, and excitement for working in a collaborative, play-based environment. While previous experience with Transdisciplinary Play Based Assessment and Spanish language skills would be highly valued, they are not required—dedication to nurturing successful early learning is key.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current SLP license or eligibility for licensure (CCC or CFY candidates considered)
- Experience in a school-based setting, ideally with PreK students
- Ability to work effectively within a team for assessments and interventions
- Willingness to split schedule between two school sites
- Familiarity with play-based or transdisciplinary evaluations (a plus)
- Spanish language proficiency helpful, but not required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to PreK children
- Conduct assessments as part of a transdisciplinary team
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Work collaboratively with classroom staff and families
- Contribute to ongoing IEP meetings, documentation, and progress monitoring
