Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Cicero, IL
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students for the upcoming fall semester as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This maternity leave coverage engages you in a vital school-based team from mid-September to mid-December, providing services across a diverse student population. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Illinois state SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Prior experience in a school setting supporting K-12 students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with teachers, students, and families
- Comfortable managing diverse caseloads and adapting interventions as needed
- Please note: Clinical Fellows (CFs) cannot be considered for this assignment
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments, write reports, and document progress according to school requirements
- Deliver direct therapy services to students with a range of communication disorders
- Collaborate with special education teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Offer guidance and resources to classroom teachers and family members to support student development
- Maintain accurate records, session notes, and timely communication with staff and parents
- Participate actively in team meetings and student support activities
