School Speech Language Pathologist - Chula Vista, California

Step into a rewarding opportunity where your expertise as a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist will make a lasting difference for elementary students. This role focuses on supporting a vibrant caseload of 50-60 students, helping them build communication skills and confidence. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through June 9, 2027, providing long-term impact and continuity of care.
You’ll work onsite in a collaborative and supportive school setting, engaging with students and staff each day. The position offers a consistent full-time schedule: 7 hours daily, 35 hours paid weekly (lunch break not included). Face-to-face involvement is essential for fostering genuine connections and effective intervention.
Key Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency, enabling you to serve diverse student populations
- In-person SLPs only (remote not accepted)
- Caseload management experience, ideally within an elementary school environment
- For non-credentialed SLPs: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, California licensure, Certificate of Clearance (COC) posted on the CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing website, completed TB and Livescan clearance (district form required)
- If international Masters: equivalency report from a CTC-approved agency is necessary
- For credentialed applicants: SLP credential posted with CTC, TB and Livescan clearance with district form
- Commitment to upholding privacy and ethical standards
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, direct therapy, and intervention for elementary-age students with diverse speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement IEPs
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
